Building character, developing life skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and preventing violence – through basketball. That is Cream Skills.

We mentor high school-aged youth and young adults in Milwaukee through our free, pro-style basketball league and year-round Pathtime Program.
The Cream Skills Basketball Association is a free, 11-week, co-ed summer basketball league for Milwaukee youth ages 14 to 17 — the largest of its kind in Milwaukee. Just like the pros, we have owners, general managers, a lottery, draft and special events like an All-Star Game and Skills Competition. Games are COA Goldin and Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Downtown Campus. We also have a weekly training camp in partnership with MATC, focused on making our kids better off the court.
In partnership with MATC, we also offer Pathtime young adult programming, which features a unique approach to mentorship, teaching the lessons of Cream Skills while often using basketball to make that connection. The goal: Make the 18- to 25-year-olds we touch more productive citizens.

We are excited to announce that Franchise Ownership opportunities for the 2026 CSBA season are now open! Reputable Milwaukee businesses interested in partnering with us are encouraged to comment below or email Nigel at Creamskills@gmail.com for more information. And please refer other businesses! The deadline for all inquiries is January 1, 2026.

MATC Profiles Cream Skills, Founder Nigel Harvey
Harvey Named “Notable Alumnus” by BizTimes

“Bad things happen in this world. We have lost three students in this program to gun violence, but I like to say that we have saved more than 800,” he said. “When I see students graduate high school, when I see them mature, when I see them go to college, that outweighs everything else.”

Learning Life Lessons at Training Camp
Cream Skills is about more than basketball. It’s about teaching our players valuable life skills, and that’s done through our mandatory weekly training camps at MATC. From financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills to career coaching and education about the dangers of reckless driving, we teach our young adults to become better people and citizens.
